Hollingsworth and Rodriguez Wrap Up Competition at 2022 World Rowing Championships

RAČICE, CZECH REPUBLIC – A pair of former Brown All-Americans, Henry Hollingsworth '22 and Gus Rodriguez '22, represented the United States at the 2022 World Rowing Championships, held last week in Europe.
Both Bears rowed in the United States Men's Four crew and ultimately finished fourth in the 'B' Final. Rodriguez rowed in the three-seat with Hollingsworth in the bow-seat.
The American crew began the World Championships with a second-place finish in the opening heat, clocking a time of 5:55.13 to finish just behind Australia (5:53.31). The USA edged out Switzerland (5:55.38).
On Thursday (Sept. 22), the crew returned to the water in the first semifinal and posted a time of 6:09.33 to finish fifth. The Netherlands won the semifinal race with a time of 6:02.96.
In Saturday's 'B' Final, the Americans posted a time of 6:00.87 to finish in fourth in a tightly-contested race. Germany won the race with a time if 5:59.08 with Ireland (5:59.16) and Poland (5:59.56) finished second and third, respectively.
