PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team lost to Princeton 4-1 Sunday afternoon.
"The energy and focus of today's match were infinitely better than yesterday," head coach Lucie Schmidhauser said. "The team took ownership today and came out with confidence and much more belief. Britany and Addie played flawlessly in their doubles match. Sophie and Lindsey were so clutch in pivotal moments of their doubles, closing out the doubles point with confidence.
"Even though the overall score didn't go our way, I feel we made progress as a team against a very strong Princeton team. I'm excited about the progress a lot of our players are making in their games and I hope they can carry that belief into their matches more consistently and compete with clarity and fearlessness."
Britany Lau and Addison Ahlstrom won their doubles match, as did Sophia Reddy and Lindsey Hofflander, earning the Bears one team point. Unfortunately, the Tigers won the first four singles matches to finish, claiming the overall victory.
