
Brown Notches Two Top-10 All-Time Marks at Pair of Weekend Meets

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A group of distance runners and jumpers represented Brown track and field at two different meets this weekend in the Raleigh Relays and the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational at the University of Miami. Senior Emily Kompelien notched the 10th-fastest time in program history in the 1500m in Raleigh, while Lauren Yeboah-Kodie tallied the eighth-best triple jump in school history at Miami.
RALEIGH RELAYS
Senior Griffin McCauley opened the weekend for the Bears on Thursday with a personal record performance in the men's 5,000 meters, finishing in 14:23.64, over 25 seconds faster than his previous PR from this past December's indoor Alden Invitational.
Kompelien competed in the 1500 meters on Friday, running the 10th-fastest time in program history, a new personal record at 4:26.75.
Senior Katherine Dokholyan competed in the women's 5,000 meters on Friday, finishing in 16:59.44.
HURRICANE COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL
On Saturday at Miami, sophomores Lauren Yeboah-Kodie and Daryn Davis both competed in the triple jump, with Yeboah-Kodie landing on the podium in third place at 12.43 meters, the eighth-best mark in outdoor program history. Davis finished one spot behind in fourth with a new personal record of 12.04m. The same duo also finished back-to-back in the 100 meter hurdles in 11th and 12th, respectively. with Yeboah-Kodie finishing in 14.34 seconds and Davis in 14.40.
Brown will compete next weekend at two different meets, with the throwers going to the Black & Gold Invitational at Bryant University, while a large group will head to Virginia for the Colonial Relays at William & Mary.
