Gymnastics Set for Saturday Quad Meet at West Chester

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's gymnastics team is set for their fourth meet of the 2022 season on Saturday afternoon at West Chester. The meet will see the Bears face off against Bridgeport for the second straight weekend, along with SUNY Cortland and host West Chester on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Live stats will be available.
For those wishing to attend the meet, fans will be allowed, but must adhere to a mask requirement.
LAST TIME OUT
In their last meet on Sunday, the Bears welcomed Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut State to the Pizzitola Sports Center in Brown's first home meet of the season. Brown took second place with 190.700 points. Freshman Julia Bedell led the Bears on floor (9.750) as part of a strong showing in all three of her events. Ella Poley led Brown on the bars with 9.725 points, and freshman Taylor Schulze turned in a huge performance on beam, setting a new PR of 9.875 while winning the event. Senior Mei Li Costa won the vault with a score of 9.800 points, with Bedell following in second to complete a Bears sweep of the top two spots.
Two weeks ago, Brown posted a season-high with 191.025 points in a quad meet at North Carolina.

Next weekend, the Bears will face New Hampshire on the road in their first dual meet of the season next Saturday Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.
