PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Fresh off her record performance on beam on Sunday, junior gymnast Lindsey Yang has been selected as the Gymnastics East Conference's Gymnast of the Week.
Yang delivered a sensational performance on beam on Sunday, anchoring the meet's final event with a spectacular score of 9.925, tying Jayne Finst's school record that has stood since 2001. Her performance helped Brown take down Yale in the dual meet 194.300-194.275. In addition to her win on beam, Yang also took home first place on floor with her score of 9.875.
Brown gymnasts have now won a weekly GEC award for eight consecutive weeks dating back to last season.
The Bears will return to action this Saturday afternoon, January 24 at 5 p.m. at the Bridgeport Alumni Meet against Bridgeport, LIU, and Springfield.
