Track Ready for Meets at Columbia and Harvard this Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown track and field programs will hit the road for a pair of meets this Friday and Saturday, including the Crimson Elite at Harvard on Friday, and the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge on both Friday and Saturday at The Armory in NYC.

Brown will be among those competing at the Crimson Elite at Harvard throughout the day on Friday. The Bears will have student-athletes competing in a dozen separate events between the men's and women's side, and will be joined by athletes from Boston University, Dartmouth, Florida Atlantic, George Mason, Monmouth, Northeastern, University of Alabama Birmingham, UMass Lowell, UConn, UMass Amherst, Tulane, RPI, Yale and USF.

The Bears will also be sending several athletes from both teams to the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge, hosted by Columbia at The Armory in New York City. Friday's events will get underway at 9 a.m. with the heptathlon and continue throughout the day until 4 p.m. with the finals of the 60m dash. Saturday will commence with the pentathlon and heptathlon at 8:30 a.m., and run throughout the afternoon until completion of the 4x400 at 4:15 p.m.
