Gymnastics to Compete at Ivy Classic on Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The annual Ivy Classic returns on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., featuring the league's four gymnastics programs in Brown, Cornell, Penn and Yale. This year's meet will be hosted at Yale's Lee Amphitheater.

LAST TIME OUT
Last Sunday, Brown posted a season-high score of 193.225 points to take second place while hosting the Rumble & Tumble quad meet. Brown gymnasts tied or set 11 career personal-bests, including exhibitions, four of which came on floor, where the team scored 48.675 points, their highest total on any event all season. Sophomore McKenna Weiner posted career-bests in both of her events, and sophomore Angela Xing set two career-highs while competing in three events.
Taylor Schulze was voted the GEC Co-Newcomer of the Week after posting a career-high of 9.800 on bars and led the team with a 9.775 on beam, both putting her in third place overall in each event.
UP NEXT
Brown will compete next Friday in a tri-meet at Rutgers with Southern Connecticut State, before returning to Providence for a home meet on Sunday, March 6.
