
Lukas Scheidl Sets Program Mark in 500 on Day Two of Ivy Championship

RESULTS
PRINCETON, N.J. – Lukas Scheidl finished the 500 free prelims with a program shattering time of 4:20.97 to qualify for the finals on day two of the Ivy League Championship at Denunzio Pool in Princeton.
Scheidl's mark broke his own record set in 2020 of 4:21.79. The junior finished fifth in the finals with a time of 4:21.07.
Nicolas Ortega was seventh in the same event in the prelims (4:21.89) and matched the finish in the finals, this time with a time of 4:22.38.
In the 200 IM, Ben Hayes placed eighth in the prelims at 1:46.26 and moved to seventh in the finals at 1:46.56.
Trevor Labuda placed seventh in the 1-meter dive at 298.65 and improved his finish by one with a mark of 310.80.
The second day of competition concluded with a fifth-place finish in the 200 free relay by the team of Michael Lincoln, Lucas Hess, Jerry O'Mara and Horace Qiao (1:21.25).
Day three begins at 11 a.m. with the prelims and the finals are scheduled for 6 p.m. Catch the action on ESPN+ all day long.
