Men's swimming and diving heads to Ivy League Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming and diving will take its turn in the pool for the 2022 Ivy League Men's Swimming and Diving Championships the week at Princeton University. The meet will run from Wednesday (Feb. 23) to Saturday (Feb. 26).
All sessions, both prelims and finals, will be streamed on ESPN+. Prelims on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. and the finals all four nights will begin at 6 p.m.
2022 IVY LEAGUE MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS CENTRAL
Brown finished fourth the last time the Ivy League hosted a championship back in 2020. The Bears will look to continue their success in the pool after a strong 2021-22 regular season that saw four dual meet wins and multiple school record set.
Freshman Jack Kelly broke both school records in the breaststroke this season in the dual meet against Yale. Kelly swam an NCAA B Cut time of 53.44 in the 100 breaststroke and then swam another B Cut time of 1:55.44 in the 200 breaststroke. Kelley swam the third-fastest 200 breast in the Ivy League this season and the fourth-best time in the 100.
Trevor Labuda also put his name in the record book this season on the diving boards. Labuda first set a school record in the 1-meter event at the Bruno Invitational with a score of 355.43. In the 3-meter event, Labuda broke another school record with a score of 380.40 against Columbia. Both of Labuda's scores were the fifth-highest scores in the Ivy League this season.
Michael Lincoln's best time this season of 1:35.74 in the 200 free was an NCAA B Cut and the fourth-best time in the Ivy League.
In the 1000 freestyle, Aidan Wilson swam that second-fastest time in the Ivy League at 9:08.02, coming in the dual meet against Yale.
Billy Knaul and Carlos Munoz Renteria cracked the 10-ten in the Ivy League times this season the backstroke. Knaul was 10th-fastest in the 100 back with a time of 48.49, and Renteria was 10th in the 200 back, clocking a time of 1:46.31.
Lukas Scheidl posted a B Cut time of 3:51.05 in the 400 IM, the third-fastest time in the Ivy this season. Scheidl also posted the 10th-fastest time in the league with a time of 1:46.85 in the 200 butterfly.
