Bears Fall at Home to No. 4 Quinnipiac

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's hockey team dropped the final game of a weekend homestand to fourth-ranked Quinnipiac by a score of 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Meehan Auditorium.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Sophomore Olivia Williamson scored her third goal in as many games, moving her into a tie for the team lead with three goals on the season.
- Freshman Maddie Morgan picked up her second assist of the season.
- The Bobcats outshot Brown 30-17 and held a 28-16 edge on faceoffs.
- Neither team committed penalty.
- QU jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 9:00 mark of the first period, then added another at 18:12 on a loose puck out in front.
- Brown came right back just 23 seconds later to make it 2-1 at the first intermission. Williamson grabbed the puck in the neutral zone, skated it in and around the back of the net and backhanded a shot off the goaltender's pads and in on the wraparound.
- The Bobcats padded the lead by adding another goal at the 6:19 mark of the second period after causing a turnover in the Brown defensive zone.
- Quinnipiac made it a 4-1 game at 11:08 of the third period on a wrist shot from the edge of the left wing circle that found its way top shelf through a screen.
