PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving will hit the road for their first two meets over the weekend. The Bears will take on Yale on Friday (Nov. 4) before heading to Princeton for a double-dual against the Tigers and Dartmouth on Saturday (Nov. 5).
"The team has had a great fall of training so far and at this point the only thing we are missing are outside competitors," said head coach Kate Kovenock. "This is a formidable first slate of meets and we're ready to embrace the challenge. You always learn new things about your team in competition and I'm excited to get this phase of the season rolling."
The meet at Yale will begin with diving at 1 p.m. and swimming beginning at 3 p.m. The meet at Princeton and Dartmouth will start at 12 p.m. Both meets will be streamed on ESPN+.
The women's squad will be looking to build off a fifth-place finish in last season's Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships. Brown sophomore Jenna Reznicek earned a berth in the NCAA Championships in the 100 backstroke after winning the event in the Ivies and setting a school record in the event.
Brown also returns junior Sam Scott who earned a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle and three of the four members of the third-place 400 yard medley relay team (Reznicke, Scott and Nell Chidley).
Last season, Brown beat Dartmouth in the dual with the Big Green, winning 201.50-96.50. The Bears dropped the duals against Princeton and Yale.
