PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown senior offensive lineman Donovan Allen has been named to the 2022 New England Football Writers Division I All-New England Team.
The team honors the best Division I FCS and FBS players by position from the 2022 season, which were selected from the 16 Division I football schools in New England.
Allen was an anchor of Brown's offensive line this season, and previously earned Second Team All-Ivy honors. He started all 10 games at left tackle and played 752 snaps this season. Allen and the rest of the line helped to protect Brown's quarterbacks who ranked No. 3 in the Ivy League this year with 246.3 passing yards per game, which ranked 36th in the nation. The team averaged 351.9 yards of total offense and helped clear the way for running back Allen Smith to lead the league in scoring.
Allen, along with the rest of the All-New England recipients will be honored at the NEFW Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 8 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center in Framingham, Mass. More information and reservations are available here.
