Women's soccer hosts Cornell Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team will host Cornell this Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. as the Bears begin their final stretch of Ivy League games.
The Bears are coming off a draw against Harvard that kept Brown in control of its own Ivy League fate. The Big Red also played to a tie last weekend, a scoreless contest at home against Yale.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.

Scouting the Bears (9-2-2, 3-0-1 Ivy)
- A win against Cornell Saturday would give the Bears double-digit victories for the third straight season for the first time since 1988-90.
- Brown's 2.92 goals per game lead the Ivy League and is sixth in the country. The Bears' .77 goals against average is second in the league.
- Brittany Raphino (8G, 3A) and Ava Seelenfreund (7G, 1A) are the only two Ivy League teammates with at least 15 points on the year. Raphino is second in the league in goals and Seelenfreund is tied for third.
- Cornell's two league losses have come at the hands of Columbia (1-0) and Harvard (5-1). In addition to Yale, they also tied Pen (1-1).
- The Big Red's .85 goals per game is seventh in the Ivy League, while their 1.54 goals against is last.
- Laken Gallman leads the team with four goals on the season. Ashley Durik and Aidan Julia Reineman are tied for the team lead of two assists.
- The Bears earned their 30th all-time victory over Cornell last season and hold the overall series edge at 30-7-4.
- Brown has won each of the last 10 matchups, with last year's 3-0 victory serving as the largest margin of victory during those contests.
