Scouting the Bears (8-2-1, 3-0-0 Ivy)
- Brittany Raphino and Ava Seleenfreund are the only pair of Ivy teammates to have each recorded at least seven goals and 15 points on the year. Last week against Princeton, Raphino scored twice and Seelenfreund once.
- The Bears have won 10 straight Ivy League games dating back to last season. They are unbeaten in the last 18 conference games, dating back to the final game of 2018, going 17-0-1 in that span. The lone tie was at Yale to finish out the 2019 season after the Bears had already claimed the Ivy title.
- Brown's 2.36 goals per game is good for second in the Ivy League, as is their .82 goals against average.
- Harvard has started the conference schedule at 2-0-1 after tying Penn in its Ivy League opener. In that game, the team's only Ivy road game to date, the Crimson struck first in the 57th minute, but the Quakers equalized less than a minute later which led to the 1-1 draw.
- The Crimson's 2.91 goals per game and .73 goals against average are both tops in the Ivy League.
- Hannah Bebar has paced Harvard this season with six goals and six assists for 18 points. In goal, Hannah Gardner and Anna Karpenko have split time, with Gardner posting slightly better marks in both goals against average (.67) and save percentage (.810).
- The all-time series edge belongs to Harvard at 29-23-4, but Brown has claimed each of the last two contests. Over the previous five, all with Kia McNeill as head coach, the Bears have gone 3-1-1 against the Crimson.
- Last season, Brown claimed a 1-0 victory on the road at Harvard. Raphino converted on the game-winner in the 75th minute of action. A long pass over the top of the defense led to Seelenfreund collecting the ball and pushing it ahead to Raphino who beat two defenders to it and sent a shot soaring into the net from the top of the 18.
