Gymnastics Set to Host Home Opening Tri-Meet Sunday Evening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the first time in 693 days, the Brown women's gymnastics team will host a home meet when they welcome Southern Connecticut State and Bridgeport for a tri-meet on Sunday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The meet will serve as the program's Mental Health Awareness Meet. Brown asks all fans to wear green to show your support and help end the stigma.

LAST TIME OUT
Brown is coming off posting a score of 191.025 last weekend in a quad meet at UNC. Starting off on the floor, Julia Bedell made her collegiate debut and led the Bears with a score of 9.775, followed by Addie Liebhardt with 9.625 and Abby Walsh 9.600. Alyssa Gardner led the team on vault with a score of 9.700. Bedell followed with a 9.600, and senior Mei Li Costa posted a 9.525. Over on bars, Costa nailed a season-best 9.775 to lead Brown and place seventh overall. Finishing the meet on beam, Liebhardt posted a season-best 9.700 to lead the Bears.

The Bears will travel to West Chester on Saturday, Feb. 5 for a quad meet against the Golden Rams, Bridgeport and SUNY Cortland.
