PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball head coach Kate Refsnyder has announced the 2022 schedule for the Bears on Tuesday (Jan. 11). The Bears will play their first home game of the season on March 9 against Providence.
The Bears will begin their season on the road with a tournament at Florida International (Feb. 25-27) and will play another weekend tournament at Houston Baptist (March 4-6) before taking on the Friars in the home opener.
Brown's last weekend tournament before Ivy League play begins will be at Towson on March 11-13.
"Our team cannot wait to start competing again. We have put together a strong early season schedule to prepare us for Ivy League play," said Refsnyder. "We have depth in every position and will use those first three weekends to gain experience. There are only a handful of student-athletes on each Ivy League squad that have competed in an Ivy League game. We believe the league is wide open this year and our Bears are ready to compete."

Brown begins Ivy League play with a three-game set at Princeton (March 19-20) and will host Penn in the Ivy League home opening series on March 26-27.
The Bears will play Ivy League home series against Columbia (April 15-16) and Harvard (April 23-24). Brown's road Ivy League slate features series against Yale (April 2-3), Dartmouth (April 9-10) and Cornell to close the season on April 30 and May 1.
Brown also has three other midweek games against non-conference teams with home doubleheaders against Holy Cross (March 22) and Bryant (March 30) and a road doubleheader at Rhode Island (April 26).
