
Men’s Hockey’s Willman ’18 Signs with Philadelphia Flyers

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Former forward Max Willman '18 of the Brown men's hockey team has signed a two-year, two-way contract with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers. The contract will begin at the start of the 2021-22 season.
Willman, who was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2014, spent the last two seasons playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL. Willman posted three goals and six assists for nine points in 24 games played in 2019-20. This season, he has amassed seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 15 games played.
For the Bears, Willman recorded 16 goals and 29 assists for 45 points in four years, with his senior season cut short due to injury. As a junior, Willman finished second on the team in assists (15), was third in both goals (11) and points (26), and contributed a team-best four power-play goals.
