
Black History Month 2021: Paris Waterman Dupree ’11, Women’s Lacrosse

Throughout the month of February, Brown Athletics will celebrate Black History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize African Americans who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Paris Waterman Dupree '11, Women's Lacrosse
Paris Waterman Dupree '11 did it all for Brown women's lacrosse, both on the field and off. Athletically, Dupree was a two-time First Team All-Ivy honoree (2010, 2011) and made the IWLCA Northeast Region team twice, with First Team laurels in 2010 and Second Team accolades in 2011. She was also selected to the U.S. National Team in 2011. Dupree embodied the true part of student-athlete and earned Academic All-Ivy honors in 2010 and was a two-time IWLCA Academic Squad member. A leader on the field and a team captain as a senior, Dupree still stands in the Brown record book and ranks in the top-25 all-time in multiple categories. She stands ninth all-time in career caused turnovers (58) and is 19th for draw controls (61). Dupree also ranks 16th for goals in a season with 33 in 2010. She remained involved with Brown and was a keynote speaker at the VarsityCon: Student-Athlete Career Conference in 2018. Dupree graduated with a B.A in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship and received her Juris Doctor in Law at The George Washington University Law School. She is currently an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Philadelphia and was previously an associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP.
