Women's basketball hits the road for a game at Holy Cross

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball will hit the road for a game at Holy Cross on Sunday (Dec. 5). The game against the Crusaders will begin at 12 p.m. at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+. Per Holy Cross requirements, all fans attending the game will have to show proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or proof of a negative test within 72 hours.

SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown dropped both games at the TD Bank Classic over Thanksgiving weekend, dropping matchups against host Vermont and North Dakota.
- Isabella Mauricio has scored in double-figures in each of her last three games, including a career-high 20 points against North Dakota.
- Kyla Jones has been filling the stat sheet for the Bears. Jones is second in the team with 11.3 points per game, fourth with 4.4 rebounds per game, and leads the team in both assists per game (2.3) and steals per game (3.0).
- Mya Murray was shut down by foul trouble against Vermont, Murray had finished with five blocks in the two previous games but had just one block and five points in a season-low 12 minutes of play after picking up three fouls early in the first half and her fourth foul two minutes into the third quarter. In the two games before playing Vermont, Murray had 10 total blocks.
- Brown is facing off against Holy Cross for the fourth-straight season. The Bears dropped the matchup in 2019 but beat the Crusaders in both 2017 and 2018.
- Holy Cross is 4-3 on the season and the Crusaders have won their last three games. Hily Cross beat a 7-1 Rhode Island team 66-54 the last time taking the court.
- Avery LaBarbera is leading the team in points per game (13.1) and rebounds per game (6.1). LaBarbera is also second on the team with 21 assists and 11 steals.
- Oluchi Ezemma is second on the team with 10.9 points per game and is leading the team, shooting 60 percent from the field.
