
Men's basketball set for final nonconference contest at Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Brown men's basketball will take on Maryland this Thursday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center. It will be the first meeting between the Bears and Terrapins since 1979.
The Bears are coming off a loss to Syracuse that saw them give up more than 70 points for just the second time this season and the first since a 94-87 loss to North Carolina back on Nov. 12. Maryland's last time out was a 21-point victory over Lehigh.
The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Scouting the Bears (8-6, 0-0 IVY)
- Kino Lilly Jr. had a team-high 13 points in the loss to Syracuse. He had five field goals with three of them coming from deep.
- As a team, the Bears have recorded 15.3 assists per game over the last four after averaging 11.7 during the first 10 games of the season.
- Five players scored in double figures for the Terps against Lehigh, led by Eric Ayala's 20 points. Donta Scott had 17 and Julian Reese scored 12 off the bench.
- On the season, Ayala leads Maryland with 14.3 points per game, while Russell Fatts is second on the team with 11.8.
- Scott leads the team with 7.4 rebounds and Fatts dishes out the most assists at 3.5 per game.
- The Bears and Terps have met three times in program history with Maryland claiming all three victories. All three meetings came between 1971-1979.
- Last time the teams met, Maryland took the 72-59 win.
