Women's basketball takes on Fisher College on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball continues play at home with a matchup against Fisher College on Saturday, Dec. 11. The game against the Falcons will begin at 2 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

- Brown comes in to the game playing its second of seven-straight games at the Pizzitola Sports Center. The Bears lost to Providence on Wednesday (Dec. 8) to start the streak of home games.
- Isabella Mauricio led the Bears with 12 points against the Friars. It was seventh game this season that Mauricio has scored double-figures, a team-high. Mauricio currently sits 12th in the NCAA in three point attempts and 27th in the NCAA in made threes. Mauricio is fifth in the Ivy League with a 33.3 three-point field goal percentage.
- Kyla Jones is averaging 10.9 points per game, good for second on the team. Jones has also been showing off her hands on defense with 31 steals on the season, including three against Providence. Jones leads the Ivy League with 3.1 steals per game and is ninth in the NCAA in total steals (31) and 21st in steals per game.
- Aggressive defense has been a calling card for the Bears. Brown leads the Ivy League in both total steals and steals per game. The Bears sit 24th in the NCAA with 103 steals on the season and average 10.3 steals per game, good for 55th in the NCAA.
- The Bears paint defense has also been impressive this season, sitting 32nd in the NCAA in total blocks (44) and 58th in blocks per game (4.4).
- Mya Murray leads the Bears in blocks on the year and picked up four more against Providence. Murray currently sits second in the Ivy League in both total blocked shots (21) and blocks per game (2.33). Those numbers are good for 18th and 28th in the NCAA, respectively.
- Charlotte Jewell played a season-low 30:02 against Providence but continues to lead the Bears in minutes played. Jewell is 21st in the NCAA in total minutes played and is 54th in the NCAA in minutes played per game (35:18).
- Fisher College plays Suffolk on Friday before taking on Brown on Saturday (Dec. 11). The Falcons have a 3-7 record on the season and have lost their last three games.
- Misha O'Neal leads the team with 17.6 points per game. Alexia Mason is second with 14.6 and Tatiana Bruno is third at 12.4.
- Mason is leading the team with 8.1 rebounds and is second on the team with 2.4 assists per game.
