POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Brown women's hockey team jumped on the board first on Friday evening, but No. 7/8 Clarkson came back and scored five unanswered goals down the stretch to top the Bears 5-1 in an ECAC matchup.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

Sophomore forward Maya Mangiafico scored her second goal of the season in the first period.
Anna Shelden grabbed her first assist of the season on Mangiafico's goal, while Abby Hancock picked up her second assist of the year.
The Golden Knights outshot the Bears 44-23, while the teams were even on faceoffs, winning 24 apiece.
Brown was 0-for-2 on the power play while Clarkson scored once with the man advantage on two power play chances.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Brown jumped on the board first at 13:16 of the opening period when Mangiafico won a faceoff. Shelden then sent a pass up to the blue line, and Hancock let go a shot that was tipped in front by Mangiafico past the goaltender to give Brown the 1-0 lead.
Clarkson answered right back just over two minutes later at 15:47 to tie it at one.
Clarkson outshot Brown 13-8 in the opening period.
Clarkson took a 2-1 lead at 5:55 of the second period on the power play, scoring on a shot from the right wing circle, short side between the blocker and the post.
Jenna Goodwin scored for the Golden Knights to add some insurance at 13:17 of the second period after a rebound and scramble in front of the net.
Clarkson took a 4-1 lead early in the third at 3:52 on a centering pass from the right side boards that was redirected into the net.
Clarkson struck once again at 15:39 of the third period off another loose puck in the front of the net after an initial save, making it 5-1.
