Women's basketball continues road stretch with game at Bryant

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball remains on the road for a contest against in-state foe Bryant on Tuesday (Nov. 16). The game against Bryant will begin at 7 p.m. at the Chace Athletic Center.

ABOUT BROWN (0-2)

Brown is looking for its first win of the season after falling to Fairfield and Sacred Heart to begin the season. The Bears are playing their third-straight game on the road to begin the season.
This will be the second-straight game against an NEC opponent in a stretch of four-straight games against teams from the Northeast Conference. Brown will play Central Connecticut State and Wagner after taking on Bryant.
Brown has been firing away from deep to start the season but has struggled from beyond the arc. The Bears are 11-for-61 from three-point range in the first two games this year.
Kyla Jones leads the team with 12.0 points per game and 2.5 steals per contest. Jones is also tied with Charlotte Jewell with 2.0 assists per game.
Isabella Mauricio is second on the team with 10.5 points per game. Mauricio has hit three threes in each of the first two games.
Amanda Latkany leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game, pulling down 10 against Sacred Heart. Latkany is also scoring 6.5 points per game.

Bryant comes into the game 0-2 on the season having lost to Iona and UMass Lowell.
The Bulldogs are shooting 38 percent from the floor but have allowed its two opponents to shoot 45 percent from the floor this season.
Bryant had held a large advantage on the boards, pulling down 35.5 rebounds per game and winning the battle of the boards by 7.5 rebounds per game this year. Brooke Bjelko leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per game.
Turnovers have been an issue for Bryant as the Bulldogs are averaging 27.5 turnovers per game.

The Bears and Bulldogs met twice in 2019-20 with each team winning on the road. Brown won 56-50 at Bryant on Dec. 8 and Bryant won 45-44 in the season opener on Nov. 5.
