Rugby Travels to Cambridge to Take on the Crimson Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's rugby team looks for its third straight win on the season at Harvard on Saturday (Oct. 9).
Saturday's match is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at Mignone Field in Cambridge, Massachusetts and will stream on ESPN+.
SCOUTING BROWN (2-1)
- Brown has won two straight over Sacred Heart (46-3) and LIU (114-0) following an overtime loss to open the season against Army, the defending national runners-up.
- Mahdia Parker and Zy Thomas lead the Bears with 30 points in three games in 2021. Both players have converted six tries.
- Olivia Duba leads the team with 10 conversions and is third on the team with 25 points.
- Parker, Thomas, and Emmajane Rhodenhiser each converted four tries in Brown's 114-0 win at LIU last weekend. Duba was successful on nine conversions in the victory over the Sharks.
- Harvard enters Saturday's match unbeaten in 2021 with four victories. The Crimson claimed wins over Mount St. Mary's (53-5), LIU (109-5), Sacred Heart (53-0), and Quinnipiac (60-24) to open the season.
- Two years ago, the Crimson defeated Army, 18-7, to capture the 2019 National Championship.
- Cassidy Bargell leads the Crimson with six tries in 2021. Eight other players have recorded multiple tries in the season. Chloe Headland leads the squad with 13 conversions.
- Brogan Mior led the Crimson in its most recent with over Quinnipiac with two tries and 18 total points.
- Saturday marks the seventh meeting in the series since Brown made the jump to varsity status in 2014. Brown won the first two meetings in 2014 and 2015, but Harvard has taken the last four, most recently defeating Brown 42-14 in 2019.
