Rugby Falls at Harvard on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Crimson remained unbeaten after a 56-8 victory over the Brown Bears Saturday at Mignone Field.
Harvard moves to 5-0 in 2021 with the victory while Brown drops to 2-2 in 2021.
"It's a tough outcome. But we're proud of the fact that we played as a team the entire game," said captain Olivia Duba. "We kept our heads up, stayed focused, and motivated each other for 80 minutes. We definitely have some things to work on and we hope to meet Harvard again in the postseason."
Harvard converted four quick tries to open the game with one successful kick to take a 22-0 lead.
Mahdia Parker broke through the Crimson defense for a Brown try midway through the first half to cut into Harvard's lead.
Before the first half ended, Harvard converted two more tries and added a kick for a 34-5 lead at the break.
Duba nailed Brown's first penalty kick of the season for three points to make it 44-8 in the second half.
Harvard pushed its lead with more scores before the second half ended to make it 56-8, where it finished.
Brown returns to Marvel Field next Saturday (Oct. 16) to host Quinnipiac (1-3). Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
