Women's tennis concludes play at ITA Northeast Regional

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Members of the Brown women's tennis team completed play at the ITA Northeast Regional on Sunday. The Bears wrapped up action with their two remaining doubles pairs beginning in the round of 16.

"This event showed us how important it is to have resilience and grittiness to figure out how to consistently put pressure on our opponents and make them uncomfortable," head coach Lucie Schmidhauser said. "Athletic abilities aren't enough; it is about showing resiliency and toughness when the chips are down. We definitely need to keep working on those concepts in order to take our team to another level."

Sophia Reddy and Lindsey Hofflander began the day with a 8-6 win over Boston University's Kim and Kleynerman, but would fall in the quarterfinals to Bryant's Munson and Rondini 3-8.

Britany Lau and Nora Lee lost in the round of 16 to UMass's Okuyama and Farima 4-8.

Super Regionals action begins Thursday, Oct. 14 at Princeton.
