Water polo to compete at the Harvard Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo will take a break from conference play to compete in the Harvard Invitational over the weekend. The Bears will play four games over the weekend with two on Saturday (Oct. 16) and two on Sunday (Oct. 17).
Brown will begin play on Saturday taking on Salem at 2:15 p.m. before finishing out the day against Mount St. Mary's at 6:15 p.m. Sunday begins with a match against Gannon at 10:30 a.m. and the Bears final match of the invitational will be against Wagner at 3:30 p.m. All four matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

SCOUTING BROWN (9-8, 2-2 NWPC)

SCOUTING BROWN (9-8, 2-2 NWPC)
- Brown has split each of its last three weekends of games including a win over MIT before falling to Harvard last Saturday (Oct. 9).
- Andrew Penner led all scorers for the Bears last weekend with four goals, including three against MIT.
- Filip Aleksic finished with three goals over the weekend, tallying all three against the Engineers.
- Connor Enright and Cole Atwell each scored two goals against MIT and each scored one against the Crimson.
- Enright became the first 30-goal scorer of the season for the Bears over the weekend. Leo Berkman sits at 25 goals and both Aleksic and Atwell have 24.
- Ugo Piovan leads the team with 81 saves on the year in nine games.
- Salem is 7-9 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Tigers have won three-straight games with wins over Mercyhurst, Augustana and Gannon on Saturday (Oct. 9).
- Nikola Krstonosic is the leading scorer for the Tigers.
- Mount St. Mary's is 5-10 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. The Mounts have lost four of their last five matches with all four losses being decided by at least seven goals.
- Jason O'Donnell leads the team with 58 goals on the season.
- Gannon is 6-5 on the year and had a five-game winning streak ended with its last two losses.
- Earlier this season Brown beat Gannon 17-10 during the Bruno Classic.
- Wagner sits at 9-12 on the year and has split its last four matches.
- Brown beat Wagner at the Bruno Classic by a score of 15-12.
- Oliver Fodor leads the team with 83 goals on the year.
