
Men’s Hockey Announces Incoming Class of 2024

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's hockey head coach Brendan Whittet has announced the addition of six incoming student-athletes who are set to join the roster for the 2020-21 season. Brown's latest group of newcomers is made up of three forwards, two defensemen and one goalie.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL)
Antonio Andreozzi comes to Brown after spending last season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Hockey League. Prior to Salmon Arm, Andreozzi put together a standout four-year career at the Rivers School, where he twice served as team captain and was a two-time All-ISL selection. He finished his Rivers tenure with 86 points, including a 28-point junior campaign in 2017-18, averaging a point per game.

James Durham spent the last two seasons with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League. A two-time USHL Goalie of the Week selection, Durham started 17 games during the 2018-19 season and finished with a 2.73 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. He started the 2017-28 season with Shreveport of the NAHL, posting a 1.57 GAA and a league-best .942 save percentage in 17 games, before making the move to Dubuque of the USHL for the remainder of the season.

Matthew Kinash comes to Brown after two seasons with the Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. He served as an assistant captain this past season and recorded 40 points in 35 games, totaling 82 points in 95 career games with the Thunder. Prior to Drayton Valley, Kinash spent three seasons with OHA Edmonton, where he was the top scorer in both 2017 and 2018. He also earned Most Improved Player honors during his first season with OHA Edmonton in 2016.

Jackson Munro spent the 2019-20 season with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League. Munro served as an assistant captain with the Bulldogs and ranked second on the team in scoring among defenseman with 26 points. Prior to Alberni Valley, Munro played two seasons for the Merritt Centennials, where he totaled 33 assists and 39 points.

Matt Sutton played all of last season with the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League. He split the previous season with Gilmour Academy and the Chicago Steel of the USHL, helping the Steel claim the Eastern Conference Championship. Sutton led Gilmour in goal scoring during the 2017-18 campaign and also served as an assistant captain.

Prior to Cedar Rapids, Tonelli played three seasons at the Taft School, where he served as captain and earned the Coach's Hockey Award during his final season.
