Throughout the month of March, Brown Athletics will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize women who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Trishna Patel '98, Women's Tennis
The 1997 Ivy League Player of the Year, Trishna Patel '98 led the Bears to the 1997 NCAA Championships behind a 19-3 overall record and 7-0 Ivy League mark. During that 1997 season, Patel set school records for single-season combined wins (61) and single-season singles wins (36), while ranking second in school history in single-season doubles wins (25). She gained First Team All-Ivy in singles and doubles and earned selection as an Eastern Penn Player to Watch in that same year. For her career, she collected five All-Ivy awards, including First Team All-Ivy in doubles twice (1995, 1997), First Team All-Ivy in singles once (1997), Second Team All-Ivy in singles once (1995), and Second Team All-Ivy in doubles once (1996). For her career she posts 54 singles wins, 64 doubles wins, and 118 combined wins.
