Throughout the month of March, Brown Athletics will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize women who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Teresa Abrahamsohn '85, Women's Soccer/Softball
A 1992 inductee into the Brown Athletic Hall of Fame, Teresa Abrahamsohn '85 starred on the soccer field, while also competing in softball for the Bears. In women's soccer, she earned All-American and Ivy League Player of the Year honors in 1984. During that season, she helped the Bears post a 13-1-1 overall record, 6-0-0 Ivy League mark, and 12 shutouts – including 10 straight – while reaching the NCAA quarterfinals. A four-time All-Ivy selection in women's soccer, she garnered First Team All-Ivy in both 1983 and 1984. As a senior captain, she earned Team MVP accolades. In softball she twice gained All-Ivy laurels, including First Team All-Ivy in 1983.
