Chan, Litsky Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's fencing freshman Casey Chan and men's tennis senior Peter Litsky have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, Brown announced on Monday.
Casey Chan, Women's Fencing, Freshman, Cresskill, N.J.
Freshman Casey Chan led women's sabre with a 14-1 record at the Eric Solle Invitational on Saturday at Brandeis University's Gosman Sports Center. A native of Cresskill, N.J., Chan helped women's sabre finish with a 4-1 mark, including a 33-12 composite record. As a team, the women's side went 4-1 with victories over Haverford (22-5), Stevens (19-8), Hunter (27-0), and NJIT (17-10).
Peter Litsky, Men's Tennis, Senior, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Senior Peter Litsky went a combined 4-0 on Sunday, helping the men's tennis program improve to 6-0 with a 6-1 win over Fairfield and a 4-0 blanking of Sacred Heart. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native won both of his doubles matches, with a 6-3 win against Fairfield and a 6-2 victory over Sacred Heart. In singles play, Litsky took his second singles match 6-1, 6-3 against the Stags and then recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win versus the Pioneers later in the day in the third spot.
