ALBANY, N.Y. – Senior Brent Beaudoin (Londonderry, N.H.) and freshman Bradley Cocca (Toronto, Ontario) have been named the ECAC Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, announced by the league office on Monday.
Â
Beaudoin posted three points in a two-game span as the Bears went 1-0-1 to pick up three points in conference play. He assisted on the game-tying goal in a comeback win against Princeton and then provided both of the team's goals in a draw with No. 16 Quinnipiac. He also blocked four shots.
Â
Cocca had a two-point night in a comeback win against Princeton on Friday, including the game-winning goal late in the third, completing a four-goal period for the Bears. He also earned the primary assist on the first goal against Quinnipiac. He finished with a +2 and two power-play points.Â
Â
This marks the first time the Bears have earned two league awards in the same week this season. Beaudoin and Cocca were named Player and Rookie of the Week for the first time in their respective careers.
Â
Brown will look to keep it going at Dartmouth (2/14) and Harvard (2/15) this weekend.
Â
