
Men’s Soccer Travels to Providence, Hosts San Diego State

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will travel to crosstown rival Providence on Wednesday, Sept 25 at 7:00 p.m. before hosting San Diego State at Stevenson-Pincince Field on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 2:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Brown was defeated by Bryant, 2-1, on Sunday at Bulldog Soccer Field. The Bulldog's benefitted from two first-half goals while the Bears received their score from Brady Van Epps in the second half, his first collegiate goal.James Swomley concluded the game with two saves, all coming in the first half, as Max Gross was not tested in the second as the Bears' defense limited the Bulldogs.
BEAR LEADERS
Eight different players have scored this season for Brown, with Alex Mina, Brady Van Epps, Malcolm Johnson and Michael Chung each recording a goal while Nicolas Perez has two assists to help pace the Bears. James Swomley leads the goalkeepers with four starts, a 1.34 goals-against average and a .722 save percentage.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
The Friars are 5-2 and have won three-straight, including their conference opener against Seton Hall last Friday (1-0). Providence is 4-1 at home this season with its lone loss coming to New Hampshire (2-1) on Sept. 2. Davis Smith leads the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists while Joao Serrano and Trevor Davock each have two goals and a pair of assists. Austin Aviza has played all seven games in net and has a 0.61 goals-against average and a .778 save percentage.

Pablo Pelaez leads the quad in points with eight on three scores and two assists while Tevenn Roux is second with seven points (2G, 3A). Max Watkin's has started six of the Aztec's games in goal this season and has a 1.76 goals-against average and a .621 save percentage.
