
Softball’s Innerst, Seitz Garner All-Ivy Accolades

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University softball freshman pitcher Lauren Innerst and senior utility Cat Seitz have both gained Honorable Mention All-Ivy honors, the Ivy League announced on Wednesday afternoon.
A two-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week (Mar. 11 and Mar. 26), Innerst (San Jose, Calif.) ranked third in the Ivy League in strikeouts (70), first in strikeouts caught looking (29), seventh in ERA (3.02), and seventh in innings pitched (109.0). During conference play, she stood second in the Ancient Eight in strikeouts (44), second in strikeouts caught looking (14), fourth in innings pitched (69.2), and ninth in ERA (3.32).
Seitz (Poway, Calif.) led the Ivy League with 14 doubles, marking the fifth-most doubles in a single season in Brown history. She ranked fifth in the conference in home runs (six), sixth in slugging percentage (.570), and seventh in runs (27). Seitz led the Bears in runs (27), hits (37), doubles (14), home runs (six), and RBIs (18). She hit .324 in Ivy League play, notched a .306 average in all games, and concluded her career as a .302 hitter.
Both Innerst and Seitz gained All-Ivy laurels for the first time.
