
Gymnastics Scores 192.125 in Quad Meet at New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. – Brown University gymnastics scored a 192.125 – eclipsing the 192 mark for the fourth time this season and for the for the third time in its last four meets – in a quad meet at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday night at Lundholm Gymnasium.
"We have scored above a 192 in three of our last four meets so we have performed pretty consistently," Brown head coach Sara Carver-Milne said. "We still have two more important meets before we compete at the ECAC Championships."
In the team standings, New Hampshire won the meet with a 196.000, No. 25 NC State came in second with a 195.850, Rutgers placed third with a 194.625, and Brown finished fourth with its 192.125.
As a team, Brown scored a 48.175 on vault, 47.600 on bars, 47.950 on beam, and 48.400 on floor.
In the all-around, freshman Sophia Petrillo (Stoneham, Mass.) led the Bears with a 37.875.
Freshman Mei Li Costa (Lawrenceville, N.J.) paced the Bears on vault with a 9.725 while sophomore Alyssa Gardner (Angola, N.Y.) tied a season high with a 9.700. Senior Julia Green (Exton, Pa.) scored a 9.650, sophomore Kate Nelson (Montara, Calif.) posted a 9.600, and Petrillo added a 9.500.
On bars, Costa again led the Bears, notching a 9.800. Nelson and sophomore Emma Hansen (Cincinnati, Ohio) each tallied a 9.700.
Sophomore Rose Domonoske (Park City, Utah) recorded a team-high 9.700 on beam while Green and senior Cassidy Jung (San Marino, Calif.) both posted a 9.675. Petrillo and senior Morgan Hagenbuch (Norwich, N.Y.) notched a 9.525 and 9.375 respectively.
On floor, Green led Brown with a 9.750, and Petrillo tallied a 9.700. Gardner matched her career high with a 9.675, freshman Abby Walsh (White Lake, Mich.) scored a 9.650, and Domonoske posted a 9.625.
Next, Brown competes at the University of Maryland with Penn and Southern Connecticut State on Sunday, Mar. 10 at noon.
