PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's swimming & diving team opened the Ivy League Championships by breaking two school records in the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay on Wednesday night at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
"This was a solid first session for the men," said head coach Chris Ip. "The team broke two school records and set the tone for our team's performance. This should motivate our team to carry the momentum into our Thursday morning prelims session."
The 200 medley relay team of junior Joon Sung (Los Angeles, Calif.), junior Coley Sullivan (Louisville, Ky.), freshman I.I. Qiao (Naperville, Ill.) and junior Alex Smilenov (Katy, Texas) started the action by placing third overall in a team record time of 1:25.92.
