Throughout the month of February, Brown Athletics will celebrate Black History Month through the "28 Days of Black at Brown" series. Each day during the month, the Bears will recognize African Americans who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.

The 2004 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year, Uchenna Omokaro '05 earned All-Ivy three times and helped lead the Bears to an Ivy League title in 2004. A back-to-back First Team All-Ivy selection in 2003 and 2004, Omokaro led the Bears with a 2.35 ERA, 65 strikeouts, and seven wins during their Ivy League championship season in which the Bears went 10-4 in Ivy play. In the Brown record book, she still ranks fourth in career earned run average (1.92), fourth in career winning percentage (.571), and fifth in career strikeouts (241).
