Brown’s EJ Perry Named Finalist for Ivy League’s Asa S. Bushnell Cup

Providence, R.I. - Brown junior quarterback EJ Perry (Andover, MA), who set an Ivy League record for total offense in 2019, has been named a finalist for the Asa S. Bushnell Cup presented to the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year.
The Ivy League and the National Football Foundation (NFF) are partnering to co-host the presentation of the Asa. S. Bushnell Cup which will be awarded at a special reception and press conference, presented by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, in the Mercury Ballroom of the New York Hilton Midtown on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Perry and Yale quarterback Kurt Rawlings are finalists for the Offensive Player of the Year, while the Defensive Player of the Year finalists are Dartmouth's Jack Traynor and Princeton's Jeremiah Tyler.
A Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations concentrator at Brown, Perry earned First Team All-Ivy and All-New England honors after his record-setting inaugural season at Brown. He led the nation with 367.8 yards per game of total offense and shattered the Ivy League single season record for total offense with 3,678 total yards, eclipsing the previous Ivy League record of 3,553 yards by Princeton's Chad Kanoff in 2017.
Perry's 2,948 passing yards rank fifth all-time at Brown and 15thin Ivy League history and his 251 completions rank sixth all-time at Brown, 12thin the conference record book, and 10thfor a Brown career.
Perry had three games that ranked in the top 10 in Brown history in total offense: 512 total yards vs. Rhode Island (2nd, 5thin Ivy history), 471 total yards vs. Yale (4th, 17thIvy) and 463 total yards vs. Cornell (7th,22ndIvy). His 94-yard touchdown run vs. Bryant was the longest run in the Ivy League this season and 10thlongest in Ivy football history.
Perry also set a new Brown record with 560 plays this season, while his 22 touchdown passes rank 18thin the Ivy record book.
