Football Alum Zak DeOssie to be Featured in Campus Event on April 14

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown football alum and Super Bowl champion Zak DeOssie '07 will return to the Brown campus later this month. DeOssie will discuss his time as a student-athlete at Brown, the lessons he learned both on and off the field, as well as his journey from Brown to the NFL.
The fireside chat, which is co-sponsored by Brown Athletics and Recreation and Brown RISD Hillel, will take place on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in Stephen 101. Tickets for the event are free but must be reserved ahead of time. Tickets are available to all on a first come, first serve basis.

The event will be moderated by current Brown football student-athlete Levi Linowes '27.
DeOssie was a three-time First Team All-Ivy League linebacker and a member of Brown's 2005 Ivy League championship squad that finished the year ranked No. 15 in the nation. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft and spent 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the New York Giants. During that time, he was the Giants' longsnapper and won two Super Bowls and was twice selected to the Pro Bowl.
