
Nick Allsop, Scott Boylan, Dawson Goepferich and Emerson Logie Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Honors

Providence, R.I. - Four Brown football student-athletes – senior offensive guard Nick Allsop (North Easton, MA), junior wide receiver Scott Boyan (Bakersfield, CA), kicker Dawson Goepferich (Holt, MO) and senior tight end Emerson Logie (New Canaan, CT) - were named to the 2019 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by CoSIDA, that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
All four Brown honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
A Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations concentrator at Brown, Allsop is a team captain and preseason All-Ivy selection. He's a three year starter and has helped block for the nation's 18thranked offense, averaging 450.9 yards per game.
Boylan, a BEO - Finance concentrator, has made 30 catches for 385 yards and a team high five touchdown receptions. He had five catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns vs. Cornell and also returned seven kick-offs 178 yards.
Goepferich has connected on 4-of-7 field goals and 31-of-35 extra points. An Economics and Media concentrator, he has also punted for a 39.6 yards per punt average, including a long punt of 56 yards and eight inside the 20-yard line.
Logie has hauled in 22 receptions for 232 yards on the season. He's a BEO - Economics concentrator, who made his first career touchdown reception against Yale, a 17-yard grab. Logie made a season high five catches for 87 yards vs. Rhode Island.
