Women's Track & Field Trio Competes at ECAC Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three members of the Brown women's track & field team competed at the ECAC Championships over the weekend on the campus of Princeton University.

Sophomore Kendra Offiaeli (South Windsor, Conn.) was runner-up in the shot put with a lifetime personal-best toss of 49-11.75, fourth best in the Ivy League this season.

Senior Clare Peabody (Aptos, Calif.) placed eighth overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.41, while Alexis Van Pernis (Kailua Kona, Hawaii) crossed the finish line in the same event at 2:20.28.

Next up, Brown will compete at the NCAA East Preliminary on May 24-26 in Tampa, Florida.
