
Men's Hockey's Hathaway Signs With Calgary Flames

CALGARY, AB. – Former Brown men's hockey forward Garnet Hathaway, who wrapped up a four-year career with the Bears in 2014, has signed an entry level contract with the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced by the organization on Monday.
Hathaway, a native of Kennebunkport, Maine, is in his second season in the American Hockey League and has played 71 games for Adirondack, the minor league affiliate of Calgary, scoring 19 goals and with 17 assists along with 77 PIMs. He is tied for third on the team with 36 points, including seven multiple-point games, and leads the club with 72 games played.
The 23-year-old played four seasons with Brown, where he competed in 121 games and recorded 58 points (20G, 38A) and 178 PIMs, and was a two-time assistant captain. Hathaway appeared in 31 games for the Bears as a senior in 2013-14 and finished with six goals and nine assists for 15 points.
