
Marchin Tabbed ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month

ALBANY, N.Y. – Freshman Tommy Marchin (Algonac, Mich.) of the Brown men's hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month for November, announced by the league office Wednesday morning.
Marchin has made an immediate impact to the Brown lineup in his first month of collegiate hockey, posting five goals and five assists for 10 points in eight games. He had three multiple-point games during November and was named Player of the Tournament at the Friendship Four in Belfast, recording 4g-2a-6pts in the two-day event with a hat trick. He is ranked second nationally and first in ECAC Hockey among rookies in points per game (1.33). He is also tied for first in freshman scoring in ECAC Hockey (6g-6a-12pts), and sixth overall, despite having played six fewer games than the co-leader.
Marchin was recently named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week on Nov. 1 after a standout weekend at the Friendship Four.
Brown will play host to Princeton (12/4) and No. 3 Quinnipiac (12/5) this weekend at Meehan Auditorium.
