The 18th-ranked Brown mens' squash team extended its record to 2-0 on the season with a 6-3 upset victory over #16 George Washington in a match played in Cambridge, Mass. The Bears will break for final exams and resume play in early January.
Despite three close losses at the top of the lineup, the Bears avenged last year's loss to the Colonials with balance throughout. Sophomore Alex Baldock lost in a well played five game match at number two, and freshman Thomas Blecher fell in four games at number three.
At number four, Oliver Booth won in four games after missing practice all week due to illness, while senior Nick Talbott won in a tough four games at number five.
Freshman Thomas Walker, playing at number six, won in a marathon, nerve-wracking five game match where he was trailing 7-2 and 10-8 in the final game. Freshman Charlie Blasberg, junior Foster Hoff, and sophomore Michael Snower all won convincingly.
