
Maclellan Named ECAC Hockey Pre-Season All-League

PROVIDENCE, RI – Brown University senior captain Jack Maclellan (Calgary, Alberta) has been named to the pre-season ECAC Hockey All-League Team by the league's 12 coaches. A Second Team All-ECAC Hockey honoree a year ago, Maclellan will look to lead the Bears in their quest for an ECAC Hockey Championship.
An Assistant Captain in 2010-11, Maclellan, is coming off a junior season in which he led the Bears in scoring for the majority of the year until suffering a season-ending injury on February 18th at Princeton. Despite missing six games, Maclellan finished the year tied for first on the team with 31 points, while leading the squad with 17 assists. Maclellan ranked near the top of the ECAC in scoring throughout the majority of the season, earning national attention as a nominee for the prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award. In 25 games, Maclellan also posted three power play goals, two short-handed goals, and one game-winning goal. In ECAC Hockey games only, Maclellan finished the year ranked 18th in points (17), 15th in goals (8) and 29th in assists (9). Overall, Maclellan ranked 18th in points (31), 15th in goals (14), and 22nd in assists (17). His 1.22 points per game ranked 22nd nationally. He will enter his final season with 71 career points (31g, 40a) in 91 career games.
