
Brown Hockey and Basketball Tickets Now on Sale

Providence, RI –With the arrival of autumn, there's
no better way to catch the excitement of Brown basketball and
hockey than by the purchase of Season Ticket Packages and single
game tickets, which are now available at the Brown ticket office.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets by filling out the
renewal form they received in the mail, order over the phone, or to
purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Brendan Whittet
'94, the men's ice hockey team opens its home schedule
against Colgate and Cornell on November 13 and 14. Plans for the
weekend include a celebration honoring Brown's former
All-Americans on Saturday. The Bears also host nine other ECAC
opponents, including four ranked in the National Top-20. Whittet
will face-off against his former team, the Dartmouth Big Green, in
early February.
In addition to their regular slate of ECAC Hockey games, Digit
Murphy and the women's ice hockey team will host Connecticut on
October 23 to kick off the regular season. Nationally ranked St.
Cloud State will also pay a visit to Meehan, coming to play a
doubleheader on November 27 and 28.
Head Coach Jesse Agel and the men's basketball team host the
Rhode Island Rams to open its 2009-2010 home season at the
Pizzitola Sports Center on Wednesday, November 18. The Bears
feature 13 home games, including a seven game Ivy League schedule
that includes games against Harvard on February 13 and defending
Ivy Champion Cornell on March 5.
Head Women's Basketball Coach Jean Marie Burr has put
together an exciting 14-game home schedule for the upcoming season,
which includes Brown's home opener against the Big
East's Providence College at 8:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 13. The
Bears will once again look to break the “Pack the Pitz”
attendance record of 2,034 when it takes on the Crimson from
Harvard at 7:00 pm on Feb. 26.
