2020-21: Did not compete … Season shortened due to COVID-19.
Before Brown: Placed 17th overall at the 2017 Girls’ Singlehanded Championship/Leiter Cup Clinic and 15th at the event in 2016 … Came in 21st overall at the 2017 Hyannis Regatta … Finished 12th and 15th at the NESSA Singlehanded Qualifier in 2017 and 2016 respectively … Competed at the Brooke Gonzalez Advanced Racing Clinic in 2015, 2016, and 2017 … Came in first in class in Miracle R/P 44 at the 2015 Vineyard Race; finished third in class in Patriot J122 at the event in 2014 … Placed first in class and second overall in Young American J105 at 2014 Around Long Island Race … An honor roll student and AP Scholar.
Personal: Sloane is the daughter of Teresa and E.A. Kratzman … Has one older brother, Reid, a member of the Brown sailing Class of 2016 … History and Visual Arts double concentrator.
Why Brown? “I chose Brown because it presents me with the opportunity to pursue my academics in a challenging environment through the open curriculum, be able to compete on the sailing team, and surround myself with inspiring and interesting individuals.”
