Why Brown? “What first really attracted me to Brown University was the open curriculum; as a global health enthusiast, I was looking for a college experience that would truly be able to give me the interdisciplinary learning and tools that are necessary in the field of global health and be able to explore these topics outside the confines of general requirements, major restrictions, etc. At Brown, I truly saw that the possibilities to do so with the open curriculum would be right at my fingertips as an undergraduate student, and provide me with a diverse understanding of the issues that I will face later on in the field. Furthermore, the environment at Brown was exactly what I was looking for: students were engaged, passionate, and driven while remaining easygoing, compassionate, and down-to-earth. As an undergraduate student right now, I am so happy that I chose Brown as it really went above and beyond everything I could wish for out of a college experience. Go Bears!”
