Before Brown: Earned First Team All-State as a junior and senior … Gained District MVP in 2016 and 2017 … Garnered a spot on the All-Star Team in 2016 … Totaled 1,649 career kills and 679 career blocks … Tallied 649 kills as a senior and 525 kills as a junior … Played for head coach Magen Humphreys … Also competed in basketball and track & field; gained All-District accolades in basketball … Competed on the club level for Dogwood Juniors, East Texas Alliance 1, and MADFROG … Earned Academic All-State honors … Valedictorian of high school class … President of National Honor Society.
Personal: Morgan is the daughter of Sandra and David Grasch … Has three siblings, Jacob, Carter and Casen … Born on December 9, 1999 … Plans to concentrate in Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations.
Why Brown? “Brown’s open curriculum tends to attract a diverse group of independent, self-driven, and above all, successful students. By giving everyone the ability to chart one’s own academic pathway, it leads to a more positive environment. Students are eager to learn and tend to be genuinely interested in the material. With this kind of control over one’s education, comes opportunity. One concern I have with a traditional academic curriculum is how limiting it can be. Always present on my mind is the fear of ‘what if.’ What if my interests extend beyond my original choices? Having the option to explore classes completely outside of my concentration, I can expand my areas of interest and potentially learn more about myself.”
