Sean Ostroy joined the men’s and women’s hockey programs as The 1976 Hall of Fame Hockey Team Director of Operations in November of 2018.
Ostroy most recently served as Head Coach and Private Instructor of Youth Hockey for the Chelsea Piers Sky Rink in New York City, where he instructed advanced players with dry land and on-ice training, skill development and strength training. He also created recruiting initiatives and assisted with scheduling and programming.
Prior to Sky Rink, Ostroy was a coaching staff intern for the Washington Capitals, where he assisted in various aspects of the day-to-day operations, including filming, video operations, statistics and player analytics.
Ostroy previously spent time as an operations intern with the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy and as the Assistant to the Director of Youth Hockey at Sky Rink.
Ostroy graduated from American University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. He earned his Master of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in 2017.
